Literature
pray'r accepted, now wish resign'd
A casual glance.
A half-formed smile.
I will not even pretend this time, however.
In this world of half-worn tricks and superfluous lips I know my world holds nothing.
Freudian slips and confounding kicks, your secure arms are no safer, I am sure.
A passionate reply; and, of course,
A n o t h e r e n c o u n t e r .
Simply the dream of before. I cannot will myself to follow.
Neither word, nor action. Yet, still this thing springs unbidden;
Behind green eyes lay these dreams forbidden.
Tonight I shall sleep,
Though tomorrow I wake -
Though I fall through the dark,
It's all for your sake.
Save this feeble, heart of
We took a breath
Out under the stars
And swore so many things.
We shivered lightly from the cold
But soon I heard you whisper.
Third and final;
Out in style;
Tell me dreams can last.
No control and no decision;
Keep it in the past.
So we went
Walking around,
With nowhere to go;
Dirt on the knees;
But nothing to show.
Street lamps flicker,
Heart screams 'stop'
Took a wrong turn;
Forgave and forgot.
Third and final;
Out in style;
Tell me dreams can last.
No control and no decision;
Keep it in the past.
You don't always need to know
Exactly where you're going.
Its enough to know
There's somewhere t
We're taking it slow,
A step at a time,
You gave me your word;
I know its no crime.
But we took the first stair
And went straight to your door.
I said it was fine,
But now, i'm not so sure.
The weather outside just changes,
Inside we're all the same.
We burn, we pine, we perish;
All at a shot for fame
Oh, won't you let me go?
Or, is this the way?
My love's lost its reason
And I can't stare away...
So it seems we're changing,
And we'll make it through.
Emotions spinning;
And choices anew.
Life is for the winners,
Not meant for us.
Sometimes we just get through;
That, should be enough.
Oh, won't you let me go?
Don't go back.
Don't go back.
Light through the window
So hot on the keys.
Sun pouring through
But never on me.
Days full of clouds but no you.
Nights full of dark and no blue.
Don't go falling
For pretty eyes and sandy hair
A twist to begin with
But it unravels from there.
And the clock turns;
I know its time cause my eyes burn.
And theres a boy down the street
Who answers to pain
With many a joke told again and again.
And theres a ribbon to start with
But nothing to tie -
And a fairytale too
But all the kids cry.
Undiscovered truths
And a couple mistakes;
A label to place
And a living to fake.
Pretty eyes and sandy hair;
A story to begin with but naught from there.

the broken heart;
never easy to mend
so we just fake it
hope it goes okay in the end
the broken heart
it never leaves
it takes your breath
through your veins, it weaves
the broken heart
a friend of mine
though i tell you, it mends,
it just needs time.
